Suryapet, Oct.11 (NSS): Former minister and Suryapet MLA Jagadish Reddy today said the Congress government had miserably failed in the bathukamma arrangements. He criticized CM Revanth Reddy for being afraid of Bathukamma and its songs. “There has been a ban on Bathukamma songs and sound systems across the State,” he said. He was angry that the festival was not celebrated anywhere with enthusiasm. He performed special pujas along with his family members at Kanakadurga temple in JJ Nagar in Suryapet.
Speaking to media persons later, he said all the women were disappointed with Revanth’s statement. “There is no one left in history, who have made a police State.
KCR will come at the time of his arrival,” he said. He said he was detained only if he returned for a day in the floods. He said the songs from the victims of Musi river and Hydra demolitions had been banned from becoming popular. He said it was foolishness to think that the voices of the people should be stopped with the help of the police force through the songs that confronted the Nizam’s and dictators.
He said a conspiracy was being hatched to suppress the implementation of the promises without questioning it and added that the fact that the people were saying that the dream of the festival had been missed was a proof of Revanth’s rule in the State. They are asking KCR to come again. No matter how many prohibitory orders are imposed, culture and heritage cannot be stopped,” he said.
