Hyderabad, June 21 (NSS): Former Speaker and BRS MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, who joined the Congress party on Friday, praised the performance of Congress government in Telangana, stating that it is working for the welfare of farmers.
Stating that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is taking various steps for the development of agriculture sector and the welfare of farmers in Telangana, the BRS MLA said that he was very much impressed at the performance of the State government and he was ready to work under the leadership of Revanth Reddy.
“The Chief Minister is a farmer’s partisan. The decisions he is taking for the construction of irrigation projects are acceptable to the people. I am a farmer. I know the hardships of farmers. That’s why I have joined the Congress today under the leadership of Revanth Reddy. I definitely support the good programmes that Revanth Reddy is doing for the farmers,” Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said.
The BRS MLA further stated that he has been observing the performance of the Congress government for the last six months and it has been working with sincerity for the welfare of people.
“Problems are natural in the new government, but I exude confidence that at a young age, Revanth Reddy overcomes all problems with courage and takes the State forward,” he pointed out.
Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said that he had taken a decision to join the Congress party with a good intension and he did not join the party hoping for posts.
“In my political career, I have been the Minister of Agriculture and Chairman of the Co-operative Agriculture Bank, which is mostly associated with farmers.
My political career started with the Congress party. Later, I worked in TDP and TRS. Now finally I am back in Congress.
