Hyderabad, Aug.18 (NSS): Congress senior leader and a prominent lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi called on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at his residence here on Sunday.
Singhvi along with his family members met Revanth Reddy and spent some quality time at the residence of Chief Minister.
Recently, the Congress has nominated Abhishek Singhvi for the upcoming Rajya Sabha bypoll in Telangana after BRS MP K Keshava Rao resigned and joined the Congress. With two years left in the term, the bypoll is set for September 3. The Congress is planning to secure the seat as it has adequate number of MLAs in the Telangana Assembly.
This is the first time that Singhvi has visited Hyderabad after he has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the Congress party from Telangana.
Earlier, Abhishek Singhvi also called on Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister for Irrigation Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy separately.
TPCC Campaign Committee Chairman Madhu Yashki Goud, MP Mallu Ravi, Kodada MLA Padmavathi, Government Advisor Harkara Venugopal and other leaders also met Abhishek Manu Singhvi and extended their best wishes to him for being nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the Congress party from Telangana.
