Hyderabad, Sept.15 (NSS): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has assured that every Congress worker will be recognised and honoured for their services in the party, citing Mahesh Kumar Goud’s rise to PCC President as an inspiring example.
Addressing the party activists after Mahesh Kumar Goud assumed charge as TPCC President at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday, Bhatti Vikramarka acknowledged the relentless efforts of Congress workers who, despite facing repression and numerous legal cases during the last 10-year rule of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), have remained steadfast in their mission to strengthen the party.
Vikramarka began by congratulating Mahesh Kumar Goud on his appointment, attributing it to the guidance of All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge, along with the vision of Rahul Gandhi and the blessings of Sonia Gandhi. He expressed his gratitude to the AICC for entrusting such a crucial role to Goud, acknowledging his deep commitment to the party.
The Deputy CM emphasized that under Mahesh Kumar Goud’s leadership, the PCC should focus on bringing the Congress government’s welfare programmes and developmental schemes to every household, mirroring the values of the Congress rule during Indira Gandhi’s era.
Highlighting the Congress party’s promises, Vikramarka pointed out that they had successfully delivered six major guarantees to the people, including free public transport for women and subsidies on gas cylinders.
He spoke about the ongoing efforts to provide 200 units of free electricity per household and the construction of 3,500 Indiramma houses in each constituency, along with financial assistance of up to ₹5 lakh per beneficiary.
Vikramarka also took pride in the Telangana Congress government’s historic decision to waive ₹18,000 crore in farmers’ loans within 15 days, calling it an unprecedented move in India’s history.
He called upon party members to spread these achievements among the masses to further strengthen Congress’s position.
