Hyderabad, April 12 (INN): Forest Minister Konda Surekha called upon the party workers to work diligently to ensure the victory of Congress candidate Neelam Madhu from the Medak seat.
She was speaking after launching the campaign of Congress candidate Neelam Madhu from the Medak seat in Gajwel on Friday. On this occasion, the Congress party organised a huge rally from Gajwel Prajnapur—Harita Hotel to Shobha Garden. The minister campaigned with the candidate in an open-top jeep from Surekha Garden.
Earlier, addressing a meeting with Congress party workers near the Rudraram Ganesh Devasthanam on Friday, Konda Surekha asserted that Medak has historically been a bastion of the Congress party, citing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s victory from the same seat in 1980. However, she acknowledged that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and BRS leader T Harish Rao had bolstered the influence of BRS in Medak in recent years. Despite this, she emphasised that winning the Medak seat poses a significant challenge for all Congress cadres and urged them to diligently work towards reclaiming control from the BRS in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Konda Surekha urged party workers to effectively communicate the achievements of the present Congress Government to the people, particularly highlighting the implementation of five out of six guarantees within 100 days of assuming power. She assured the Congress party would fulfill all promises made to the people. Additionally, she instructed them to distribute the ‘Congress Nyay Patra’, the party’s national manifesto released by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Tukkuguda, to every household in the constituency.
Expressing that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has entrusted her with the responsibility of securing victory in the Medak seat, she emphasized the need for everyone to work dedicatedly to ensure the resounding success of party candidate Neelam Madhu. She announced that the campaign would be intensified starting Saturday across the Medak Lok Sabha constituency. (INN)
