Congress woman leader warns BRS MLA of slapping with chappal

Hyderabad, Sept.11 (NSS): Women’s Corporation Chairperson Bandru Shobha Rani has warned BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy that if he continues to make derogatory remarks against women, he will be slapped with chappal (footwear).

Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, Shobha Rani strongly criticised Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy for his disrespectful remarks against women and accused him of leveraging women to secure his political position.

‘Telangana women possess a strong spirit of struggle. Padi Kaushik Reddy became an MLA by hiding behind women. If he thinks he can distribute bangles to women, he should first send them to former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao. BRS itself was born from the entry of leaders from other parties. Let he remember where KCR’s political origins lie. He should think twice before speaking ill of women. We demand strict action against him. We will file a police complaint. The Women’s Commission should take suo motu cognizance of his remarks and summon him for an inquiry. We are urging the Speaker to suspend him from the Assembly,” Shobha Rani said.

Arya Vysya Corporation Chairperson Kalva Sujatha, who was also present in the press conference, spoke strongly, stating, “The time has come for BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy to face consequences. He has a history of throwing stones at Telangana activists. He gained victory by manipulating the sympathy of voters, using his wife and child. Now, he speaks as if he is a virtuous leader. If he continues to disrespect women, he will face severe consequences. If he does not issue an apology immediately, we will not allow him to roam freely,”
