Congress workers must highlight Govt achievements: TPCC chief

Hyderabad, Nov.21 (NSS): The extended-level meeting of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee ( TPCC) led by its president Mahesh Kumar Goud was held at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Seethakka, Tummala Nageswara Rao and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, MPs, including Mallu Ravi, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, MLAs, MLCs, Government Advisors, senior leaders and Executive Committee Members.

The leaders have decided to take part in the one-year celebrations of Congress government across the Telangana State in a big way and make it a grand success.

They also discussed the conduct of one-year festivities on constituency-level and on the ongoing caste census in Telangana. The discussion was also held on planning for the upcoming local body elections.

Speaking on the occasion, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud said the State government has delivered outstanding governance over the past year, achieving what no other State in the country has managed in terms of development and welfare programmes.

The Congress government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Cabinet Ministers, has accomplished several milestones that the BRS government could not achieve in its decade-long rule, he said.

“It is very essential to communicate these achievements widely among the people,” the TPCC chief said.

The State government has initiated ‘Praja Palana Vijayotsavam’ celebrations. For that, the Congress workers must take the government’s accomplishments door-to-door, ensuring a thorough understanding of the programs among the people,” Mahesh Kumar Goud said.

Stating that opposition parties like BRS and BJP are resorting to intense misinformation campaigns against the government, the TPCC chief said these need to be countered effectively with a well-planned communication strategy.

“Since coming to power, the Congress government has appointed several individuals to key positions, including corporation posts, DCC president roles, and chairpersons of affiliated associations. Efforts are underway to allocate more positions to those who have contributed to the party’s success,” he disclosed.

Mahesh Kumar Goud further stated that as the upcoming local body elections approach, the party workers must work diligently on all fronts and collective efforts are essential to secure favorable results.
