Hyderabad, Nov.23 (NSS): The Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department M Dana Kishore today instructed the officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to complete the underground sumps under construction in greater Hyderabad on a war footing. Dana Kishore held a field inspection with HMDA, Water Board and GHMC officials over Progress of construction of underground sump (Reis water holding structure) on the entrance to Lake View Guest House on Raj Bhavan Road.
Later, Dr. B R Ambedkar inspected the construction work of the underground sump being constructed in front of the secretariat. He said that the construction work of underground sumps had been taken up at 12 places on an experimental basis with a capacity of 10 to 40 lakh litres in greater Hyderabad limits, out of which 4 have been completed. He instructed the GHMC officials to complete the work at the earliest.

In view of the victory celebrations being held on December 7, 8 and 9 in the vicinity of Hyderabad Tank Bund, Secretariat and Necklace Road, the main routes connecting these areas will be clean and beautiful,” he said.
He has instructed the officials to make the development in an all round manner . He directed the officials on the steps to be taken for the success of the “PrajaPalanam – Praja Vijayotsavam” celebrations in the city.
He said that the authorities should make arrangements so that people do not face any difficulties as the people of the city are likely to come in large numbers to witness the celebrations.
