Cooperate for development of Telangana: CM Revanth urges Modi

New Delhi, July 4 (NSS): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend the cooperation for the development of Telangana State.

The Chief Minister along with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka called on the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister Amit Shah separately in New Delhi on Thursday and brought many issues related to the Telangana State to their notice.

Later, speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said that he had met the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister with the idea of maintaining good relations between the Central and State governments beyond politics.

“We speak politics only during elections. After that, our main agenda is to take the State on the path of progress. As part of the endeavor, we will take everyone’s support,” Revanth Reddy said.

The Chief Minister informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has responded positively on the various proposals made by the Telangana government. Revanth Reddy said that he also urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to take some initiative to resolve all the issues mentioned under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act and other long pending matters.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that they had asked the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister to protect the rights of Telangana and resolve all the issues of the AP Reorganisation Act.

 “The coal mines in the vicinity of river Godavari should be allotted to Singareni Collieries Company Limited ( SCCL) without any auction. Similarly, other demands, including sanction of IIM, ITR project, reallocate 5 villages merged in Andhra Pradesh, sanction of Kazipet Railway Coach Factory, sanction of Navodaya Schools in each district, allocation of 25 lakh houses and make it all State’s highways into national highways, were brought to the notice of the Union government,” Bhatti Vikramarka disclosed.
