
Hyderabad, Aug.29 (NSS): To ensure the successful conduct of Ganesh Navaratri celebrations, the coordination between the government and organisers is essential,” said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting on the upcoming Ganesh Navaratri celebrations at the Secretariat here on Thursday.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that the meeting was organised to take everyone’s suggestions and ideas for the smooth conduct of Ganesh Navaratri festival.
“The State government has no objection to providing free electricity to Ganesh pandals. However, everyone must take permission from the police department to set up the pandal,” Revanth Reddy said.
Officials have been instructed to review applications and provide free electricity to pandals.
Stating that care should be taken to celebrate the festival, the Chief Minister suggested tha an action plan should be prepared area-wise for immersion and all departments should work in coordination.
“Coordination committees should be appointed in each area. Special attention should be paid to VVIP security. Moreover, September 17 is very crucial day for the Telangana. An action plan should be prepared keeping in view the political and non-political programmes to be held on September 17,” Revanth Reddy said.
