CPI leaders meet CM & submit memorandum

Hyderabad, Aug.29 (NSS): CPI national committee member Palla Venkat Reddy and State assistant secretaries Takkellapalli Srinivas N Balamallesh submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy under the leadership of CPI State secretary Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao said the heroic armed history should be recognised and Telangana was formed with the spirit of that struggle. He demanded that the statues of Ravi Narayana Reddy, Maqdum  Mohiuddin and Baddam Ella Reddy, who had called for an armed struggle, should be installed on  tank bund. Stating that there is already a statue of Maqdum  Mohiuddin on the tank bund, he said it had been suggested that three statues should be installed there. He demanded that the statues of martyrs Doddi Komarayya, Chakali Ailamma and Sheikh Bandagi should be installed at the right places.

Under the leadership of CPI State secretary and legislator Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao, a delegation of the party leaders met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s residence in Jubilee Hills. On the occasion, the representatives of various public issues, Singareni, TS mid-day meal scheme, tribal issues and anganwadi workers’ issues submitted memoranda to the Chief Minister.

Narasimha (AITUC), Kamala Reddy (S Anjaiah Nayak (Tribal Federation), Narasimha (Mission Bhagiratha), Thota Ramanjaneyulu (N Seetha Mahalakshmi (Angan Ravinder (Mid-Day Meal Workers Union), Venkat Raju (Grammy Panchayat Workers Union), Swamy (Hamali Workers Union), Sabu Rajamouli (Tourism Contract Out Employees Union), K. Kanthaiah (BKMU) Contract Workers Union) and others. On this occasion, the Chief Minister responded positively to the demands of the delegation of CPI and people’s organisations.
