
Hyderabad, July 3 (NSS): CPI State secretary Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao today welcomed the meeting of the chief ministers of the two Telugu States in Hyderabad on Saturday.
In a statement, Sambasiva Rao desired that the meeting should be the beginning of a speedy resolution of the issues between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States. He appealed to the chief ministers of both the States to send a good signal by coming to a consensus on the issue of returning five villages in Bhadrachalam to Telangana. “It is sad that even after 10 years of State reorganisation, the problems are still continuing and it is due to the attitude of the Central and previous State governments,” he alleged.
“Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is a temple of two Telugu States although physically present in Andhra Pradesh. Lord Venkateswara is the deity of both the States. (NSS)
