Hyderabad, Nov.26 (NSS): Dr K. Narayana, National Secretary, CPI, has appreciated the decision of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy by refusing the donation of ₹100 crore announced by corporate gaint Adani and a good friend of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Minister has announced in the presence of ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar babu and Uttam Kumar Reddy.
In a press statement, the CPI leader said the donation was announced by Adani Foundation to Young India Skill university. It is not out of context to remind that CPI has brought to the notice of media about the fraud credentials of Adani and also friendship bond between Modi and Adani. CPI had also exposed how Adani has got many airports and naval ports. People in general and politicians in particular know how Modi has handed over several premier lands at throwaway prices.
Above all, Adani coal company in Queens land of Australia faced an opposition for seven years by environmentalists aboriginals. Finally, Australian government has declared closure of Adani coal mines. At present, he was involved in fraud case and bribery case. He will have to face New York court. At this juncture, Indian government has to arrest him.
Hence, taking donation from a corporate shark is unethical and unjustifiable. It will follow quid pro. In this position, Telangana State government has taken appropriate stand, Dr K. Narayana stated.
