Hyderabad, Oct.6 (NSS): The deceased person Dharmaram Priyanka, wife of Dasari Posetti and daughter of Dharmaram Ashok, aged 23 years, labourer/sex worker, residing at KPHB came to Hyderabad from her native village Bodan, Nizambad about two months ago and was staying in the limits of KPHB area and leading her life by doing prostitution.
During her work, a month ago, accused Katari Manjula, wife of Katari Molkappa alias Molkesh of Yellammabanda, Jagathgirgutta, Hyderabad introduced her, who is also involved in prostitution work. The deceased Priyanaka has given her silver ornaments like anklets and Mettelu to the accused for safe custody as she was not having proper shelter. But after one week, when the deceased asked the accused to return her ornaments, the accused dodged the matter.
On October 3, 2024 at about 1700 hrs, both of them quarrelled on the same issue and the deceased threatened the accused by calling her male friends. Then the accused took the deceased alone to her house, returned the ornaments, but felt offended by the incident and decided to eliminate the deceased. She convinced the deceased to consume alcohol in her house. After completion of consuming alcohol at about 11-20 hrs, the accused took the deceased to the scene of offence i.e., open place with bushes, near Lodha Apartments, KPHB on her bike. When the deceased is under complete influence of alcohol, she took the deceased to inside bushes and pushed the deceased in garbage area, sat on her chest and cut her throat with laser blade. After confirmation of her death, she tore the deceased’s pant along with underwear at her vaginal place with laser blade and scratched on her private parts in order to divert the attention from the entire episode and left the seen on her scooty.
Today, early hours, the Kukatpally Police apprehended her at her house. On questioning, she admitted her guilt and narrated the entire episode. On her confession, the IO seized two silver ankles and two Mettelu of deceased, one Laser Blade, which was used for the commission of offence, one biscuit colour sari worn by the accused at the time of offence, one TVS scooty (TS 08 JA 7513 which belongs to accused and was used for the commission of offence.
The accused is identified as Katari Manjula, wife of Katari Molkappa alias Molkesh, aged 35 years, resident of Yellammabanda, Jagathgirgutta, Hyderabad.
Name of the deceased is Dharmaram Priyanka, wife of Dasari Posetti & daughter of Dharmaram Ashok, aged 23 years, working as Labourer-cum-sex worker, residing at KPHB, said Dy Commissioner of Police, Balanagar Zone, Cyberabad.
