Hyderabad, Jan.24 (RAHNUMA): Cyberabad SHE Teams conducted 176 decoy operations between January 17 and 23, 2026, catching 55 persons red-handed for indecent acts in public places. Petty cases were booked in 45 instances, while others were counselled. The teams also received 18 complaints from women victims through various modes.
According to DCP (women and child safety wing) K Srujana, under Operation Smile-XII, the Cyberabad Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) registered 119 cases under the Juvenile Justice and Child Labour Acts and rescued 337 children, including 329 boys and eight girls, across the Commissionerate limits.
Police also facilitated the reunion of 30 families through Family Counselling and CDEW Centres. Awareness programmes conducted by AHTU and SHE Teams reached 4,260 people, focusing on human and child trafficking, eve-teasing, cyber crimes, child rights, and emergency helplines such as 181, 1098, 100 and 1930.
