
Hyderabad, Nov.30 (NSS): A case of Disproportionate Assets to the known sources of Income was registered against Herur Nikesh Kumar, Assistant Executive Engineer, Irrigation Department, Hyderabad, who acquired assets disproportionate to his known source of income by indulging in unlawful practices during his service.
Searches were conducted at the house of the accused and 19 other places which belong to him and his relatives. During the searches, property documents pertaining to five house plots, 6.5 acres of agricultural land, six Flats, two commercial spaces were found. The searches revealed that the accused acquired movable & immovable properties worth Rs 17,73,53,500. The market value is expected to be much higher than official value.
Earlier, he had been caught red handed by ACB on May 30, 2024 while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 1,00,000 from a complainant for issuing an NOC for construction of a building.
