Hyderabad, Dec.3 (NSS): BRS party leader Devi Prasad has accused the Congress government of cheating its employees in the last one year. Not a single promise made to the employees during the elections has been fulfilled, he alleged. He reminded that the State government promised to fulfil 317 GO within 48 hours of coming to power but failed to do so. “The report submitted by the cabinet sub-committee six months later on GO 317 was like digging a hill and catching a rat. The sub-committee has completely ignored the issue of locality. The unions are also protesting against the report,” he claimed.
Devi Prasad said it was ridiculous to mention in the sub-committee’s report that the transfers of employees would be based on vacancies. “The victims of 317 GO are roaming around the CMO but the Chief Minister was not giving an appointment to them,” he alleged. He demanded that the lapses be rectified immediately and justice should be done to the victims of the 317 GO. He said the statement of Mahender Reddy, who served as chairman of the Telangana Public Service Commission, was substantiating the comments made by the BRS party on recruitment and added that Revanth Reddy had done nothing new except the process of the completion of the job notifications issued by former CM KCR government.
Devi Prasad criticized the Revanth government for not fulfilling any of the demands of the employees. “This government is not even giving the benefits to the retired employees who are entitled to them. The State government is not paying dues of more than Rs 3,000 crore of employees. The Congress government is not doing anything on pending DAs and PRCs. There is no mention of health cards. Many employees said they were not getting their salaries on the first date,” he said. He also said the promises made were not being implemented and claims that people were coming on the roads demanding their fulfilment.
“If we protest even after fulfilling the promises made by you, the people will blame us. As the main Opposition party, the BRS will continue to stand up on people’s issues. Revanth Reddy, who had spoken in support of Naxalites, is now carrying out their encounters,” he alleged. He made it clear that no matter how many restrictions Revanth Reddy put in place, they would continue to corner the government and give it sleepless nights.
