
Hyderabad, Dec.7 (NSS): The Telangana government has entrusted film producer Dil Raju with key responsibilities. He has been appointed as the Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC). Dil Raju will continue in the post for two years. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari issued orders in this regard on Saturday.
Dil Raju’s original name is V. Venkataramana Reddy. His hometown is Narsingpalli village of Mopal mandal in Nizamabad district. He is involved in service programmes through the Mapalle Charitable Trust.
Dil Raju started his career as a distributor with the film ‘Pelli Pandiri’ in 1990 and emerged as the top producer in the industry. He produces films under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. At first, he produced a film ‘Dil’ in 2003. After the success of that film, his name has become Dil Raju.
On the occasion, Dil Raju paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his residence here on Saturday.
