Siddipet, Nov.8 (NSS): The Siddipet She Team has advised the female students not to be fooled by the words of strangers under any circumstances. The She Team organized an awareness program for the students of Siddipet Rao’s High School today about the laws for the protection of women, the duties performed by She Team and how they can be protected by the She Team.
In the program, She Team staff made students aware about the functions of She Teams, POSCO Act, Human Trafficking Act, and new laws, discussing ragging, eve-teasing, cyber crimes, phone calls from strangers, and so on. The staff of She Team said do not believe the phone calls and words of strangers. They said if the students stay away from social media, the future will be better.
They disclosed that She Team is always available for the safety of women. They said they are performing their duties with the aim of women’s safety. They advised them not to indulge in bad habits while studying. They also said everyone should focus on education. She Team members advised to stay away from drugs and other intoxicants and pave the way for a bright future. They taught that one can reach higher heights if one concentrates on education. She Team members advised to pay attention to education keeping in mind the hard work done by parents to educate their children. She Team advised the students to stay from cell phone for better future. They stated that students should not be addicted to cell phones. They said student stage is very important for a boy or a girl to grow financially. They also suggested that the spirit of hard work should be inculcated from the student stage.
They said if anyone harasses women or speaks insultingly, they should immediately call “Dial 100” or Siddipet Police Commissionerate “She Team number 8712667434” and give information. They assured that the names of the informants would be kept confidential. They told about the new laws and made the students aware that the protection of women has been given a lot of importance in the new laws.
Siddipet Two Town Sub-Inspector Rajesham, staff Kishan, Mamata, Veenakumari, Praveen, Lakshminarayana, school Headmaster Tirupati, teachers and students participated in the program.
