
Hyderabad, Nov.23 (RAHNUMA): The Vice Chairman of the State Planning Board Dr. G. Chinna Reddy today hailed Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s role in India’s freedom struggle as “invaluable”. He spoke at a memorial conference organised by Telangana All Minority Employees and Workers Association (MEWA) in Tolichowki on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chinna Reddy highlighted Azad’s leadership as the Congress President during the Dandi Satyagraha, his reforms in education, and his contributions to modern India’s development. Retired Forest Chief Conservator MG Akbar, a special guest, stressed the need to uplift educational values today.
65 government employees (Muslim & non-Muslim) from various departments were honoured with Best Service Awards for their contributions. The event was led by MEWA’s Sheikh Farooq Hussain (President), Dr. Waheed Shah (General Secretary), Dr. Mouzam ali Khan (Working President), and other leaders. Many Muslim employees and teachers also attended the event.
