Hyderabad, June 24 (NSS): Today, the DWAB and AICB team consisting of P. Chokka Rao, AICB vice-president and DWAB general secretary, AICB CEC Member Swamy Naik along with K. Ramulu, former Member of National SC Commission met Union Minister for Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy and greeted him.
A memorandum was also submitted to him highlighting the fact that the RPWD Act 2016 is not being implemented in letter and spirit and requested him to recommend appointing Ponugoti Chokka Rao as Adviser, Member for organisations like RCI under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment as Chokka Rao has been actively working for BJP for the past 40 years since 1980. His experience in the Society for his active support and service to blind communities can be utilised through these organisations.
Kishan Reddy responded to the appeal positively and assured that he will take up this with the Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Veerendra Kumar. (NSS)
