(HYDERABAD) On first of April, Israeli armed forces struck against diplomatic premises of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus that led to the martyrdom of the officially invited Iranian counter terrorism military advisors in Syria. The Zionists’ act of terror was, in fact, a direct violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. On 14th April, the Iranian armed forces carried out a series of military strikes, known as “Operation True Promise”, on Israeli’s military bases in response to, and in exercise of its inherent right of self-defence as recognized under Article 51 of the Charter UN.

The Zionist regime continued its aggressive actions against Iran; including the violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of I.R Iran, the assassination of the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement in Tehran who was an official guest of the Iranian government, as well as the assassination of the Secretary General of Hezbollah and General Nilfrooshan, Iran’s senior military advisor in Beirut. All of this led to retaliatory “Operation True Promise 2” launching around 200 ballistic missiles at Israeli targets by Iranian armed forces showcasing the capability of Iranian missile power and failure of Iron Dome thoroughly to intercept the missiles which more than 90 percent of them successfully hit the targets.

Iranian officials at different political and military levels announced that the retaliatory operation has ended, but “in case of any form of violation of Iranian territory and its interests the enemy will find much harder respond”. Despite the warnings, on October 26, the Zionist regime perpetrated a clear act of aggression against Iran, firing missiles miles away from Iranian borders. According to the Zionist media, 140 fighter jets participated in this strike, according to the initial statistics; only 6 missiles out of likely hundreds of missiles went through and the rest of them were intercepted by Iran’s indigenous defence system. Iranian indigenous defence system includes various homegrown military equipment and technologies developed to enhance national security and defence capabilities. Iran’s defence system emerged as the winner of this battle and made many military analysts admire it.

Anyways, this attack unfortunately led to the martyrdom of 4 military forces and one civilian. This aggression was a new and unprecedented violation of the Iranian sovereignty. As repeatedly emphasized by the competent authorities of I.R Iran, based on the inherent right of self-defence, as also reflected in Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, the Islamic Republic of Iran considers itself entitled and obliged to defend against acts of external aggression.
