Hyderabad, Aug.31 (NSS): The Telangana Employees’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) has urged the State government not implement the unified pension scheme in Telangana.
The representatives of Employee’s JAC led by their Chairman V Lachhi Reddy called on State Planning Commission Vice Chairman G Chinna Reddy at Praja Bhavan here on Saturday and brought the issue to his notice, urging that the State government should not implement the unified pension scheme.
On the occasion, the employees submitted a memorandum to Chinna Reddy, seeking that the State government should reinstate the old pension system as per the Revised Pension Rules of 1980, which will greatly benefit millions of employees.
Chinna Reddy responded positively to the request made by the employees and agreed to take the initiative by discussing the matter with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
He assured the JAC delegation that he would soon meet the Chief Minister to explain the actual situation regarding the employees’ pensions.
“The Chief Minister is already aware of the issue and a suitable decision will be made shortly,” Chinna Reddy said.
He further stated that the State government is committed to the welfare of employees and it always works for providing justice to the employees.
