Etala lodges complaint with NHRC on Lagacharla violence

Hyderabad, Nov.19 (NSS)BJP MP Etala Rajender has complained to NHRC about the Lagacharla violent incident. In his complaint, he alleged that the farmers were subjected to the third degree torture in police custody. “Still the police and the ruling party leaders are terrorizing them.

He brought to notice of the National Human Rights Commissioner that people didn’t have any protection in Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s assembly constituency. He appealed to immediately send the NHRC teams to the Lagacharla and see that justice was done to the farmers. Etala Rajender said the commission also responded positively.

Meanwhile, the police misbehaved with the women JAC leaders. The JAC leaders of women’s groups were stopped by the police at Tunkimetla village of Bomraspeta mandal on Tuesday while they were going to Lagacharla in Vikarabad district for fact finding. The Police tore the clothes of the women leaders in the scuffle. The JAC leaders of women’s groups, including Sandhya, Padmaja Shah, Jhansi, Anasuya, Sajaya, Sister Lissy, Geetha and so on committed violence against many people.
