Etela demands immediate compensation or allotment of land oustees

Hyderabad, Oct.3 (NSS)The key BJP leader and Malkajgiri MP Etela Rajender today challenged CM A. Revanth Reddy and asked the CM to visit the houses of the poor being demolished by the State Government without any security.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, he said he would quit politics if anybody appreciated the work of CM Revanth in the houses of the demolition of the illegal houses. He also said he would not only quit politics, but also tender a public apology and rub his nose on the ground while adding that it is painful to see the poor being forced to vacate their houses. “What is the roadmap for Musi cleaning? Where is DPR of the project,” Rajender asked.

He demanded that immediate compensation or allotment of land be given to the land oustees, who have lost their lands in the matter of expansion of four major roads from ORR to Regional Ring Road (Triple R) and warned that he would launch a massive agitation along with the land oustees and put pressure on the State government. He also warned that no one would be spared if the CM grabbed the lands of the poor farmers and made them beggars.

He made these remarks while addressing a gathering at a dharna held by the land oustees of the RRR project demanding justice for them. On the occasion, a large number of people raised slogans to provide alternative land and financial assistance to the farmers who have lost their lands. All the farmers around Triple R participated in the dharna in large numbers.

Former BRS MLA Paila Sekhar Reddy, former MLA Julakanti Ranga Reddy, former MP BC Welfare Association national president R Krishnaiah, former MLC Cherupalli Seetharamulu, Aikya Vedi leaders and activists participated in the dharna in large numbers.
