
Hyderabad, July 20 (NSS): Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao has urged those farmers, who could not get loan waived despite having a loan of less than one lakh in the first installment, not to worry about the waiver and the amount will be credited into their accounts in next 10 days.
Speaking to the media at the Secretariat here on Saturday, the Minister reiterated that the State government was committed to implement its promise of Rs.2 lakh crop loan waiver and every eligible farmer would get the loan waiver.
He informed that there are errors in Aadhaar cards for about 3 lakh farmers and after resolving their problems, the loan waiver amount will be credited into the accounts of farmers in the second installment.
“The State government has already paid the loan waiver amount to the Reserve Bank which will deposit the money into the respective accounts of farmers. If something goes wrong, action will be taken against those who have obstructed the loan waiver,” Tummala clarified.
