Hyderabad, March 4 (RAHNUMA): With an intention to strengthen India’s talent pipeline for footwear, fashion, leather goods, retail and data-driven business domains, the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has announced a wide range of new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across footwear design, fashion, leather goods, retail and management sectors.
The newly introduced courses span B.Des, M.Des, BBA and MBA programmes, focusing on sports and high-fashion footwear, leather lifestyle products, digital product design, fashion communication, supply chain management, data science, luxury brand management and human resources.
FDDI said the programmes are aligned with global industry standards, sustainability goals, digital technologies, and emerging market trends. The curriculum integrates studio-based learning, live industry projects, internships and international exposure to enhance employability and entrepreneurship.
Admissions will be conducted through the All India Selection Test (AIST) 2026, scheduled for May 10, 2026, across the centres nationwide.

As for the eligibility criteria, for Undergraduate (UG) Programmes: candidates who have passed or appearing in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. For PG programmes, candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
