Hyderabad, June 23 (NSS): On June 21, 2024, the sleuths of TGNAB along with Madhapur Police, Cyberabad apprehended five persons, who were in possession of Narcotic Drugs i.e. MDMA and trying to selling the same at Doctors Colony, beside Durgam Cheruvu. They seized 12.72 gram MDMA and one Cell Phone from their possession. The accused were identified as Gosangi Venkata Sai Charan alias Charan, Operations Executive in Royal Tourist Pvt. Limited, Jaya Nagar, Bangalore.
The consumers were identified a Mallik Lokesh of Madhapur, A. Sandeep Reddy, business man of Madhapur, B. Rahul of Kukatpally, S. Subramanyam of Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad. The sleuths seized 12.72 gram MDMA, one Cell phone all worth Rs 1,53,000/-.
According to director, TG Anti-Narcotics Bureau, Hyderabad, Bangalore-based MDMA drug transporting and supplying racket was busted by TGNAB along with Madhapur Police. The main accused Venkata Sai Charan of Nellore town of AP was doing drug (MDMA) supply to more than 50 customers in Hyderabad, Nellore, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Vizag of AP.
Venkata Sai Charan has adopted a different modus operandi to transport the drug to different cities and towns. He is packing small quantities of MDMA in small paper boxes and keeping the same in an envelope and handing over to drivers of private travel buses flying from Bangalore unauthorizedly by giving them Rs 100/-. The drug receivers in Hyderabad are collecting the parcels from driver directly.
When the accused came to Hyderabad on June 21 to supply MDMA to his regular customers, he was apprehended with 12.72 gram MDMA. A case was registered in Cr.No.800/2024 U/s 8(c), 22(c), 27 & 29 of NDPS Act-1985 of Madhapur Police Station, Cyberabad. So far, 50 customers of Hyderabad, AP State and Karnataka State are identified.
The arrests were made under the supervision of Ch. Sridhar, DSP, TGNAB by P. Ramesh Reddy, Inspector of Police, STF, TGNAB and staff of TGNAB along with Madhapur Police, Cyberabad. (NSS)
