Hyderabad, Nov.4 (NSS): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has emphasised the need to explore revenue generation methods that do not place additional financial pressure on the people.
Speaking at the resource mobilisation cabinet sub-committee meeting held at the Secretariat here on Monday, Bhatti Vikramarka discussed strategies with Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and Dudilla Sridhar Babu.
On the occasion, he highlighted the potential for revenue from valuable assets tied up in joint ventures and directed that disputes involving private entities be resolved promptly to increase government income.
The Deputy Chief Minister instructed the formation of a special committee, led by Special Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, with municipal, housing, and law secretaries to address these issues within a week.
The subcommittee also considered requests from certain industrial representatives to relocate their factories outside the Outer Ring Road due to pollution concerns. The Committee Members advised the industrial department to support this transition, encouraging a zero-pollution policy within Hyderabad city limits. Municipal officials provided updates on ongoing land auctions, and housing department authorities were asked to prioritise high-value auctions for maximizing revenue. Pending plots under the Rajiv Swagruha scheme were also reviewed for efficient monetisation.
The Deputy Chief Minister further directed officials to establish industrial parks spanning five acres in each Assembly constituency to promote small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which would generate substantial employment and economic growth in rural areas.
The sub-committee resolved to compile meeting minutes and requested an Action Taken Report (ATR) from department officials at the next meeting scheduled for the following week.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Special Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Dana Kishore, Revenue Principal Secretary Naveen Mittal, IT Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Finance Chief Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Housing Secretary Buddha Prakash, Industry Special Secretary Vishnuvardhan and District Collectors Narayana Reddy (Rangareddy) and Kranthi (Sangareddy).
