Hyderabad, Oct.28 (NSS): Today GHMC has received information from media sources that several individuals have fallen sick after consuming momos from a street vendor near Nandi Nagar Bus Stop, Road No 74, Baniara Hills on October 25. Upon receipt of the complaint, the Food safety officials of GHMC with the help of the Police officials of Banjara Hills Police Station traced the location of the street vendor, who was operating from H.No 10-1-57912, Chintal Basti, Khairatabad, Hyderabad in the name of WOW Hot Momos/Delhi Hot Momos.
The Food safety officials have inspected the premises and found that the establishment is being operating without FSSAI license and that the food is being prepared in unhygienic conditions. The Food Safety Officials have lifted the samples of food articles found in the location which are being sent to the State Food Laboratory for purpose of analysis and orders were also issued to stop the business operations.
Further, the Food safety officials of GHMC have addressed a letter to the SHO, Banjara Hills to conduct an inquiry into the matter and to take necessary action against the accused.
