Visakhapatnam, Aug.16 (NSS): Senior YSRCP leader and former AP minister Botsa Satyanarayana was elected unopposed as an MLC in the Visakhapatnam local body MLC elections held in Visakhapatnam. The Election Commission has issued an official statement in this regard. After the announcement of the election, there was a buzz at the Visakhapatnam collectorate.
Speaking to the media after receiving the certificate that he was elected as an MLC from the joint collector, Botsa thanked party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for encouraging him to contest by giving him the party’s B form and district leaders for supporting him. He said he would continue in the MLC post for three years. He said although the YSRCP has the full strength required for the MLC election to Visakhapatnam local bodies, the ruling coalition government wanted to contest in the elections. He alleged that conspiracies have been hatched to win the elections.
