
Hyderabad, Sept.14 (NSS): The Gachibowli police have shocked PAC chairman Arikapudi Gandhi in connection with the attack on BRS party MLA Kaushik Reddy’s home. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against Gandhi, his brother and nephew in response to a complaint from Kaushik Reddy. Reddy lodged a complaint with the Gachibowli police in connection with the attack on his house. Two other corporators have also been booked for attempt to murder.
Along with corporator Venkatesh Goud, the police named Miyapur corporator Srikanth as accused in the case. A case was registered against Gandhi two days ago on the basis of a complaint lodged by SI Mahesh over the incident at Kaushik’s house. MLA Gandhi was granted bail in the case. The BRS leaders strongly objected to the appointment of Arekapudi Gandhi as PAC chairman. The BRS leaders were questioning as to how the PAC chairman’s post given to Arekapudi Gandhi, who joined the Congress party in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy? Gandhi, however, said he had not joined the Congress party, but remained as the MLA of the BRS party.
