Gandhi Bhavan celebrates 78th Independence Day

Hyderabad, Aug.15 (NSS): Gandhi Bhavan, the party headquarters of Telangana Congress, on Thursday celebrated 78th Independence Day on the grand scale.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Mahesh Kumar Goud unfurled the National Flag. Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender, Former MP V Hanumantha Rao, former minister Shankar Rao, Kisan Cell National Vice President Kodanda Reddy, Fishermen Corporation Chairman Mettu Sai Kumar,TPCC senior vice president Niranjan also participated in the celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, TPCC working president Mahesh Kumar Goud said that India’s Independence was the result of the sacrifices of many people and those who had nothing to do with freedom struggle were now ruling the country.

He said that without the support of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Telangana would not have created today and the Congress party had made a reality of the separate Telangana State.

“The Congress government is credited with providing Rs.30,000 jobs within 100 days of coming to power in Telangana. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has recently visited USA and South Korea countries and brought thousands of crores of investment for the Telangana State. The Chief Minister is trying to deliver every promise made to the people,” he added.
