
Hyderabad, Sept.11 (NSS): GHMC Commissioner Amrapali Kata has directed the zonal commissioners to provide all facilities to the devotees at the places where Ganesh idols’ immersion takes place during the upcoming Ganesh festival without causing any inconvenience to the devotees. The commissioner held a teleconference with additional and zonal commissioners and officials of other departments on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said in view of the Ganesh immersion, sanitation staff should be deployed to remove the garbage and other waste lying on the road immediately in the areas where the Shobha Yatra will take place and added that if required additional sanitation workers should be deployed to ensure that the roads are clean. She instructed that pot holes should be filled on the roads so that there is no problem during the Shobha Yatra.
She also directed the concerned to take steps for tree pruning. She also asked the officials to ensure there was no disruption of traffic. She directed the officers to submit a report on the steps taken. The zonal commissioners have been instructed to visit the field level with electricity, UBD, AEs and police officers and take strong measures to avoid any problems.
