
Hyderabad, July 21 (NSS): Authorities of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) are planning to launch Rs.5 breakfast scheme soon.
Under the GHMC limits, there are currently over 320 Annapurna centers offering hot and hygienic meals for the poor at Rs. 5. On the direction of the State government, the authorities are now working to expand the services to include breakfast facilities. In addition to this, authorities are planning to add another 50 new Annapurna centers under the GHMC jurisdiction.
The State government launched the Annapurna food scheme in Hyderabad in 2014 aimed at providing affordable and hygienic food for a nominal price of Rs 5.
