Hyderabad, Jan.27 (RAHNUMA): The GHMC has announced that all cattle, sheep and goat slaughterhouses under GHMC, along with all retail meat and beef shops within GHMC limits, will remain closed on January 30, in observance of the Mahatma Gandhi death anniversary.
The decision has been taken as per Resolution of the Standing Committee, GHMC, and in accordance with section 533 (b) of the GHMC Act, 1955.
The GHMC has directed all concerned officials to ensure strict implementation of the orders and to extend necessary cooperation to municipal staff for effective enforcement.
The Corporation has appealed to all meat shop owners and the general public to cooperate in observing the closure as a mark of respect on the occasion.
