Hyderabad, Dec.12 (NSS): GITAM School of Technology announced that its esteemed alumnus, Anuj Surao, Systems Development Engineer-II at Amazon Robotics (Amazon.com Services LLC), was invited as a distinguished speaker at the Global Research Conference-2024, held from December 6 to 12 at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. The event is organized by the Bengaluru-based Global Economic Forum, led by Founder Chairman Dr Hari Krishna Maram.
During the conference, Anuj received the prestigious ‘Global Icon Award’ from H.E. Baron Alec Stern, an Entrepreneur, Speaker, Mentor, and known as ‘America’s Startup Success Expert’, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the fields of robotics, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. His groundbreaking research paper on ‘AWS Cloud & Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Automated Robotic System with Adaptive Interface’ showcases his commitment to pioneering advancements in these critical areas.
Anuj’s qualifications, including certifications as an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Associate, Certified Scrum Master, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and Expert ABB Robotics Certified in IRC5 Accelerated Programming, were acknowledged by the conference organizers, emphasizing his extensive expertise in cloud technology and advanced robotics. In addition to presenting his research, Anuj served as a judge for innovative research papers, reinforcing high standards of research excellence within the community.

Beyond his professional achievements, Anuj’s dedication to social causes was celebrated during the conference. As the former Founder and President of Care and the current Executive Director of the Sankalp Foundation since 2015, he has tirelessly supported underprivileged and orphaned children, making a significant impact without financial gain. His commitment to environmental sustainability is also noteworthy, having received the National Green Leader Award for saving 1,512 trees and preventing 70 tons of paper waste during his academic career at GITAM, Hyderabad.
Anuj Surao holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from GITAM, Hyderabad. His contributions to the industry include the creation of the Robin Interface Panel, which enhances productivity while reducing costs, risks, and resource consumption, as well as an innovative Auto-alert device designed to detect the presence of the Covid-19 virus using IR detectors and Python code for Arduino. Additionally, he was honoured with the ‘Above & Beyond’ Atronix MHS bonus in 2020 for outstanding contributions and performance.
