Hyderabad, Feb.7 (RAHNUMA): Governor of Telangana Jishnu Dev Varma felicitated officers and cadets of the Republic Day Parade Contingent 2026 who represented the state in New Delhi, at a special ceremony held at Lok Bhavan here on Saturday.
Commending the National Cadet Corps (NCC) for shaping young minds, the Governor highlighted its role in instilling discipline, leadership, courage, and social responsibility among youth. He noted that NCC training camps help cadets become conscientious and responsible citizens.
Encouraging greater participation, he urged the educational institutions to actively promote NCC enrolment among students. Senior NCC officers and contingent members were honoured with mementoes during the ceremony.
The event was attended by Shri N. Sailani, Deputy Director General, NCC Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, along with senior NCC officers and Lok Bhavan officials.
