Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla Inaugurates Sevabharathi Dr. Hedgewar Blood Bank in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, March 29 (RAHNUMA): A new charitable blood bank, Sevabharathi Dr. Hedgewar Blood Bank, was inaugurated in Hyderabad by Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at the YMIS Granthalaya building near Clock Tower, Koti, on Sunday. Established with the objective of serving the underprivileged and addressing urgent blood requirements, the blood bank will function as a charitable initiative focused on ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare support to all sections of society.

The ceremony was also graced by G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Coal & Mines, as Guest of Honour. Other distinguished dignitaries present on the occasion included Suhas Rao Hiremat, All India Karyakarini Sadasya, RSS; Sunil Sapre , President, Rashtriya Sevabharathi; and Ale Shyam Kumar , Akhila Bharatiya Dharma Jagaran Pramukh. The programme was presided over by Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, Member, National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) and Former Chairman, DRDO. As part of the ceremony, the formal inauguration and lighting of the lamp were carried out by the dignitaries, marking the commencement of operations of the blood bank.

Speaking on the occasion, D. Durga Reddy, President, Seva Bharathi Telangana, highlighted the organization’s growing presence in healthcare. He noted that Sevabharathi already operates a hospital in Mallepally, a diagnostic centre, and a General Duty Nursing Assistant training centre in Bowenpally. With the addition of this blood bank, the organization further strengthens its commitment to comprehensive community healthcare services. The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Sudheer Reddy G, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, donors, volunteers, and supporters.

The establishment of the blood bank was made possible through the generous support of several organizations, including: YMIS, ECIL, SPMCIL, Lohiya Foundation, Yashoda Foundation, Adama India , Sagar Asia, NAREDCO Telangana , Vanamali Organics, Muskan Products.
