Hyderabad, Oct.25 (NSS): Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has reiterated the State government is committed to support Hyderabad’s real estate and construction sector, aiming to transform the city into a globally competitive destination.
Speaking at the 14th Edition of the Property Show at Hitex Exhibition Centre here on Friday, Uttam Kumar Reddy assured real estate developers that the government regarded them as “partners in progress” and was dedicated to working alongside them to drive Hyderabad’s growth.
“Our government is standing with you,” Uttam said , pledging active collaboration to realise a shared vision for Hyderabad.
“To achieve our goal of making Hyderabad a truly global destination, we must work together completely. You are essential partners in driving Hyderabad’s progress,” he added.
Acknowledging Hyderabad’s increasing economic significance within Telangana, Uttam Kumar Reddy assured that the government would take all necessary measures to stimulate real estate and construction activity, a vital engine for economic growth.
Addressing concerns raised by the realty sector, the Minister directly tackled fears about previous approvals, permissions, and No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
To further improve communication and address industry needs, Uttam Kumar Reddy proposed establishing a steering committee with members from prominent real estate associations like CREDAI and TREDA.
This committee, comprising around ten members, would meet at least once or twice a month to discuss and resolve emerging issues, he said.
“Our goal is to maintain a consistent and productive dialogue, allowing you to move forward confidently, knowing the government fully supports your growth,” Uttam remarked.
Stating that the government has also promised to alleviate traffic congestion by accelerating the Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion, he added that augmenting Hyderabad’s drinking water capacity was under consideration, alongside other urban connectivity enhancements.
“From the Future City to the Skill University led by industrialist Anand Mahindra, and a world-class Sports University, we’re laying the foundation to make Hyderabad the beacon of modern urban planning,” Uttam disclosed.
