Govt extends term of Kaleshwaram Judicial Inquiry Commission for another  two months

The State government on Saturday took a decision to extend the deadline of the Kaleswaram Judicial Inquiry Commission by another two months. The orders were  issued to this effect immediately.

It is known that the State government has set up a commission headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice PC Ghosh to inquire into the irregularities of Medigadda, Annaram, Sundilla and other barrages constructed under the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project ( KLIP) scheme.

The term of this commission was to expire this month, but it has been extended till August 31.

During the hearing conducted in the first week of this month, Justice PC Ghosh ordered former ENCs, present ENCs, CEs, other engineers and representatives of construction companies to file affidavits with full details of the project before the Commission. A total of 60 people have filed affidavits in sealed covers till June 27. (NSS)
