Govt sets deadline for completion of Yadadri power plant by March, 2025

Nalgonda, Sept.11 (NSS): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has informed that the State government has set a deadline to complete the Yadadri power plant by March 31, 2025 by achieving 4000 MW production.

The Deputy Chief Minister along with Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy visited the Yadadri power plant at Damaracharla in Nalgonda district on Wednesday and inspected the progress of works.

Speaking to the media, Bhatti Vikramarka said the State government is working aimed at completing  2,400 MW by the end of this year through three units out of five units and the remaining two units will be completed by March, 2025 by generating 4000 MW of power.

“We have decided to complete the roads, railway and civil works as well. The ERC will decide the unit cost after the completion of the project by calculating the total cost.  According to our calculations, we are moving forward with the idea that when this project is completed, the unit price will be Rs 6.35,” Bhatti Vikramarka said.

Terming the oustees of Yadadri power plant as the great sacrificers, the Deputy Chief Minister has assured that the State government will provide job opportunities to them along with paying land acquisition compensation.

“We will consider everyone’s thoughts on the matter of land dwellers,” he added.
