Hyderabad, Oct.4 (NSS): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed the officials to set up a Young India Physical Education and Sports University at Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister held a review on the Sports policy at Secretariat here on Friday and directed the officials to speed up the process of setting up the University.
“All major stadiums should be linked to the Hyderabad Sports University and a sports Board should be established on the lines of the Skill University,” Revanth Reddy said.
He suggested that officials should study and report on incentives given to athletes, who win medals in sports, and the policy should be prepared keeping in mind from 2036 Olympics.
