Gurukuls in worse condition in Telangana, Harish asks CM to focus on governance

Hyderabad, Aug.29 (NSS)BRS party MLA Harish Rao today said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy should give up his slumber and take immediate action on providing education, food and amenities in gurukuls of Telangana. He urged the CM to stop speaking out against the Opposition parties and focus on governance at least for now.

“The gurukuls, which are reeling under the circle of problems, are proof of how your governance is. The gurukuls that were lit up during KCR’s regime are being tarnished due to your negligence. What are you doing if the students of the gurukul are bitten by rats and are being hospitalised,” he asked and added that in the last eight months, over 500 gurukul students had been hospitalised while 36 students have lost their lives.

“Revanth Reddy, who is the education minister, is responsible for the poor condition of gurukuls and the deaths of students. On Wednesday, rats attacked 12 students of Ramayampet Gurukula school in Medak district. On the same day, 13 students of Kondabhimanapalli Gurukula school in Nalgonda district were attacked by rats. What are you doing if the students of gurukuls are being bitten by rats and are being hospitalised? What are you doing if the students are killed by a snake bite? What are you doing if you eat contaminated food and go to hospitals,” he asked the CM. He said in the last eight months, more than 500 gurukul students had been hospitalised while 36 students had lost their lives.
