Hyderabad, Dec.12 (RAHNUMA): The Handicrafts Service Centre (HSC), Hyderabad, under the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, organised a vibrant two-day Live Craft Demonstration and Sales Programme at CGO Towers, Kavadiguda, as part of Handicrafts Week (December 8 – 14).
Master craftspersons, including State Awardees and GI-tagged artisans, showcased Telangana’s celebrated crafts – Hyderabad lac bangles, Cheriyal art, Nirmal painting, Zardozi, pearl jewellery, terracotta, wood turning, pottery and more. Officials from CGO Towers, NTPC and Power Grid interacted with artisans and supported them through direct purchases.
The event offered artisans a valuable platform to promote traditional skills and strengthen livelihood opportunities, underscoring the Ministry’s commitment to preserving India’s craft heritage.
