Harish blames CM Revanth for deaths in gurukuls

Hyderabad, Nov.17 (NSS): BRS party MLA Harish Rao today said the death knell was ringing in gurukuls of Telangana due to food poisoning and suicides and added that students in the gurukuls were losing their lives continuously. He said it was shameful that the State government had not given up its slumber. “Not one, not two, but 42 students have lost their lives in the last 11 months of the Congress party’s rule.

The Chief Minister’s words are crossing the forts, but actions are not crossing the threshold. Except for the CM boasting on Children’s Day that if there is no quality in the meals of gurukuls, the officials will go to jail, he did nothing to stop the suicides and food poisoning cases,” he claimed. He said there was no direction for any action.

“Another student committed suicide at BC girls’ gurukul school in Sangareddy district on Saturday. It is a pity that when students with a lot of future are dying suddenly, the government which is supposed to protect them is ignoring them,” he said on his X handle. He alleged that these deaths were government murders. He demanded that CM Revanth Reddy should be held responsible for this.

Harish Rao said the student, who was supposed to listen to lessons at a gurukul in Wankidi, had been kept  on a ventilator at NIMS for the last 17 days. “Who is the reason for this,” he asked. He said the government should stop neglecting and take steps to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
