Hyderabad, May 25 (INN): Former Minister and BRS MLA Harish Rao has alleged that the BJP is conspiring to extend Hyderabad’s status as a joint capital for another ten years.
Speaking at a rally in Sattupalli in Khammam district as part of the MLC by-election campaign, Harish Rao urged voters to support the BRS party in the upcoming council elections to ensure Hyderabad remains solely theirs.
Harish Rao criticized the Congress government for failing to deliver on its promises, highlighting that none of the six guarantees pledged to be implemented within 100 days of winning the elections have been fulfilled. He stated that the Congress, after six months in power, has not issued any notifications for government job appointments nor implemented a job calendar, questioning how the promise of filling 2 lakh jobs would be met.
Among the unfulfilled promises, Harish Rao pointed out the absence of a Rs 4,000 stipend for the unemployed, a Rs 5 lakh insurance card for students, and free scooters for girls. Additionally, he noted that four dearness allowances (DAs) for government employees remain pending.
Harish Rao criticized Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for making promises during their campaigns that have yet to be realized. He accused the Congress of deceiving farmers by initially promising a bonus on paddy for all farmers but later limiting it to only fine rice. Harish Rao urged voters to reject the Congress for its failure to deliver on its promises and to support BRS to secure the future of Hyderabad and its citizens. (INN)
