Hyderabad, Aug.17 (NSS): Former minister and BRS party MLA Harish Rao today alleged that his official residence in Siddipet was attacked by the ruling Congress party workers on Friday night. “The attack by the Congress leaders in the middle of the night is proof of injustice. Breaking the locks. Destruction of property. It is undemocratic. It is as if the police have provided protection to the accused without stopping the attack,” he alleged in his tweet on his official twitter handle. He wondered If the MLA’s residence was not safe in the state, what assurance can be given to the people on their security? He demanded that the DGP take action in the incident.
They are running a hate shop in Love Bazaar: KTR
BRS party working president KT Rama Rao condemned the incident of attack on Harish Rao’s residence. He responded on the ‘X’ platform and wondered as to how can a senior MLA face such a situation? “In the last 10 years, there has been no such vendetta and now the Congress party is behaving in a despicable manner. People are watching all this. The correct answer will be given,” he said.
In another post, he tagged congress leader Rahul Gandhi. “Is this the change in your Congress rule? They are running a hate shop in love bazaar,” he said. KTR questioned whether a person who claims to be protecting the Constitution did not see these things.
High drama took place in Siddipet late on Friday night. The local Congress leaders have put up flexes demanding Harish Rao’s resignation by citing that the farmer’s loan has been waived off by the state government as promised. They raised slogans demanding the resignation of Harish Rao. Angered at this, the supporters of Harish Rao and the party activists came to Harish Raos camp office to remove the flexes. In the middle of the night, a large number of the Congress and BRS party activists gathered on the road. Tension prevailed for a while with their competing slogans. Police dispersed the agitators and took them to the police station.
