
Hyderabad, March 3 (RAHNUMA): Former Minister and senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao on Tuesday distributed nine cheques to economically disadvantaged MBBS students at his residence, extending financial assistance through the BLR Charitable Trust.
The cheques were presented in the presence of party MLA B. Laxma Reddy. Harish Rao said that in the current academic year alone, 122 medical students had been supported for their education expenses. He described the initiative not merely as a donation but as an “investment in the future health system”, aimed at empowering talented youth from backward communities.
Highlighting the expansion of medical education in Telangana, he credited former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for ushering in a “White Coat Revolution” by establishing medical colleges in every district and strengthening government medical services.
Former corporators Devender Reddy and Prabhudas, BRS party leaders Praveen Mudiraj, Mahesh Goud, Vanjari Praveen Karipe Pilli Nagaraju, Bosani Pawan Kumar, Dayakar Reddy, Sravan, Raghuvaran, Nani, Rajesh Goud, Kadige Sekhar and activists participated in this program.
