Hyderabad, Oct.18 (NSS): Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao has lambasted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s remarks that people were forcibly evacuated during the construction of Mallanna Sagar and Ranganayaka Sagar reservoirs. He challenged the CM to come with him to Musi river, Mallanna Sagar and Ranganayaka Sagar.
“I will drive the car myself for the CM. Sit next to me.. Let’s go together,” he challenged the CM. He said he would be ready at 9 am on Saturday. “Let us first go to the Musi river victims and then go to Mallanna Sagar. Let’s see what people think,” he said.
Speaking to media persons along with former ministers Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Srinivas Goud and Koppula Easwar at Telangana Bhavan, he said the BRS party had given benefits beyond the land acquisition Act 2013 to the people of Mallanna Sagar. He criticized CM Revanth Reddy for speaking without minimum understanding. He said the level of the CM had been lowered.
Harish Rao said the DPR was also ready to bring Godavari water into Musi river during KCR’s tenure. “We wanted to shift industries that transport waste into the Musi river to Pharma city,” he said, adding there was a need to stop the waste coming into the Musi river. He also said the process should start with the cleaning of the river waters which means rejuvenation of Musi river. He criticized the ruling party leaders for trying to do real estate business by stating that they were undertaking the revival of the Musi River. “We are opposed to the demolition of houses of the poor,” he said. He criticized the CM for speaking different words on the Musi river project every day and added that the Congress party had failed to fulfil its poll promises.
